Marker: Flight Situation in Israel Is Seriously Troubled
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Almasirah, the Israeli newspaper HaMarker reported that currently only 36 airlines operate in the occupied territories; this contrasts with 100 airlines before the war.
The report adds that Ben Gurion Airport has lost one-third of its passengers. Meanwhile,Emirates has increased its passenger numbers to the occupied territories from 78,000 in July 2023 to 101,000 by 2025.
the newspaper further noted that some destinations have been fully removed from Israel’s flight schedules. Official reports paint a bleak picture of a severe downturn in Israel’s aviation sector. Flights to the United States have dropped by 40 percent. American airlines have yet to announce when flights to the occupied territories will resume. Canadian carriers have postponed resuming their flights until October 9.
