Security Council Condemns Violent Attacks in Syria
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Today, the United Nations Security Council strongly condemned the rise in violence in Syria’s Sweida province over recent weeks during its meeting yesterday. The council urged all parties in the country to adhere to ceasefire agreements and protect civilian lives.
The council denounced violent acts against civilians that have displaced 192,000 people. Participants emphasized that all Syrians must be protected regardless of their ethnicity or religion.
The meeting reaffirmed respect for Syria’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity while opposing any negative external interference.
Council members also voiced concern about increasing terrorist threats posed by foreign elements within Syria.
It is worth noting that since assuming power in Syria, the terrorist regime led by Jolani has not established security but has instead perpetrated widespread killings of Syrian civilians through its terrorist factions.
