The Al-Oudha Hospital in Al-Nuseirat reported that within the past 24 hours, it received five fatalities, including one child, and 26 wounded following attacks targeting civilian gatherings at aid distribution points in southern Wadi Gaza and strikes across central Gaza Strip areas.
seven of the injured have been transferred to Al-Aqsa Hospital for further treatment.
Israeli forces bombarded the eastern area of Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza using artillery and helicopter gunfire. They also shelled the Al-Zaytoun and Al-Shujaiya neighborhoods east of Gaza City with artillery fire.
In addition, early today, an Israeli drone targeted a journalists’ tent outside the Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City. The attack killed journalists Anas sharif and Mohammed Quraqa’, photographers Ibrahim Zahir and mohammed Nofal, and wounded journalist Mohammed Sabah.
This brings the total number of journalists killed by Israeli forces during this genocide to 237.
The Media Office of the palestinian government in Gaza condemned this crime against five journalists and photographers-including two reporters and two photographers from Al Jazeera network-in a statement. It described the operation as a intentional assassination following a targeted strike on their tent near Al-Shifa Hospital. The assault also injured several other media staff members.
The office reiterated that with these killings, the number of journalist martyrs during this genocide has reached 237 within Gaza strip alone.
The palestinian government’s media office emphasized that deliberately targeting journalists and media institutions by Israeli occupation forces constitutes a full war crime aimed at silencing truth and erasing evidence of genocidal atrocities. It represents part of an ongoing criminal scheme intended to cover up past brutal massacres and also future ones committed against civilians throughout the Gaza Strip.
