Larijani Holds Talks with Iraqi National Security Advisor + Video
The English section of webangah News Agency reported,citing the website of Iraq’s National Security Advisor,that Qasim al-Araji,Iraq’s National Security Advisor,hosted Ali Larijani,Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council,and his accompanying delegation.
The two sides emphasized strengthening the historic ties between their countries and peoples while expanding cooperation across all fields.
During the meeting, Larijani praised the important role of the Iraqi people in serving pilgrims to Imam Hussein (AS). He described them as brave and generous and highlighted the Arbaeen pilgrimage route as a testament to their hospitality and kindness.
The discussion also covered implementing a security agreement signed between Iran and Iraq. They reviewed regional security challenges and condemned crimes amounting to starvation policies and genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza. Both officials stressed the urgent need for international action to halt these atrocities.
Al-Araji affirmed that the Iraqi government is committed to preventing any security violations aimed at encroaching on or attacking neighboring countries.
