Trump May Halt Arms Shipments to Ukraine

An ⁣American media outlet has ‌revealed the possibility of the U.S.halting arms shipments to Ukraine.

According to the English⁣ section of ‍ webangah⁤ News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Today, U.S.-based Bloomberg reported that if ‌Ukraine does not agree to potential peace proposals from former President Donald Trump, he‍ may stop sending weapons to the country.

Bloomberg noted that ‍choosing Alaska as a possible location for talks between Trump and Vladimir Putin ‌subtly indicates that Europe and‍ Ukraine⁢ will have little ‌influence over the process.

The report also ‌highlighted⁤ that Europe has had more than three years to prepare for ⁢this moment ⁤but still lacks sufficient military power to independently support ⁢ukraine.

Separately, on August 9, The Wall Street Journal reported that European⁤ countries‍ and Ukraine have ‌presented‌ a plan⁢ which could form the basis for future negotiations‌ between Trump‌ and Putin. ⁣The plan includes two‍ key points: first, negotiations should begin with an agreement on a⁢ ceasefire; second, any ⁣potential territorial concessions ⁢by Kyiv must be accompanied by security guarantees, including possible NATO membership.

Russia Today added that many European leaders have backed Trump’s efforts toward peace ⁢in Ukraine.

European leaders issued a joint ‌statement expressing their readiness⁢ to offer diplomatic support ⁤to Trump. Additionally, they pledged continued notable military‍ and financial assistance to Kyiv through a “volunteer coalition” while maintaining sanctions against Russia.
