Larijani: Hezbollah Does Not Need a Guardian or Supervisor + Video
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Iraqi media reports via Mehr News Agency, Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, stated at a press conference in baghdad: “I believe Hezbollah and the resistance movements have developed strong political insight. They fully understand what is best for their countries and do not need a guardian.”
Larijani added: “Iran is not a country that will be shaken by the winds that some imagine.”
Regarding the recent security agreement with Iraq, he explained that its main goal is to ensure that no individual or country disrupts the security of either Iran or Iraq. “The core idea behind this agreement is to establish stability in relations between our two countries,” he said.
He further stated, “We believe this agreement serves as a model for security cooperation that can extend to other nations as well. Our vision is for all regional countries to be secure and strong.”
Larijani stressed: “The people of Iraq are brave; they do not need anyone dictating terms to them.”
This remark refers to the security memorandum signed on Monday by Larijani and his Iraqi counterpart Qasim al-Araji in Baghdad.
During his visit, Iran’s Supreme National Security Council secretary met with Iraq’s Prime Minister, President, Parliament Speaker, national security advisor, and several party leaders.
