Palestinian Sources: Ceasefire Near, Egyptian Army Likely to Enter Gaza
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Today, reported that Palestinian Ma’an News Agency quoted an informed source stating that a ceasefire agreement in Gaza will soon be realized. Under this deal, the Israeli military is expected to withdraw from the strip, and Egyptian forces will enter the region.
The source added that U.S. President Donald Trump is poised to announce a comprehensive agreement to end the war in Gaza shortly.
trump is seeking to position himself as a peace broker in Gaza, despite his overt and covert support for Israeli actions and what many describe as genocide against the Palestinian people.
Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper also reported ongoing behind-the-scenes efforts to appoint Samir Halila, a Palestinian businessman, as governor of the Gaza Strip.
