Pakistan Army Kills 50 Armed Men on Afghan Border
The Pakistan Army reported it killed 50 militants along the Afghan border, according to webangah News Agency, citing Anadolu and Mehr News Agency.
On Tuesday,the army issued a statement saying that over four days of military operations targeting armed groups in border areas of Balochistan province,50 militants were neutralized near the Afghan border.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) department said that on August 9, 14 militants were killed during an operation in Zhob district, Balochistan.
According to the statement, on August 8 militant attempts to illegally cross from Afghanistan into Pakistan failed. In this operation, 33 militants were killed.
The army also confirmed that last night security forces conducted an operation in Sambaza area of Balochistan resulting in three more militant fatalities.The security forces remain steadfast to protect national borders and thwart efforts undermining Pakistan’s peace, stability, and advancement.
These figures have not been independently verified. Militant groups claim the Pakistan Army routinely inflates casualty numbers-a charge denied by pakistani military officials.
