Switzerland Joins EU Sanctions Against Russia
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing mehr News Agency and Russia Today, the Swiss government issued a statement confirming new additions to the sanctions list targeting Russia.
The statement from Switzerland specifies that 14 individuals and 41 entities have been added to the EU’s sanctions list against Russia.
It further explains that the sanctions now cover 14 natural persons, 41 entities, and 105 civilian ships from third countries. Additionally, 26 companies will face stricter export controls. These measures will take effect on August 12 at 11 p.m. (August 13 Moscow time).
Moreover,Switzerland has lowered the price cap on Russian oil to $47.60 per barrel.
Last month, the European Council approved its eighteenth package of sanctions against Russia. This package targeted 14 individuals and 41 entities, including 18 companies registered in the United arab Emirates, Singapore, Mauritius, China, India, and Azerbaijan.
