The Director of Shifa Medical ‍Complex announced that 320,000 children in the Gaza Strip suffer from malnutrition, with 17,000 experiencing ⁣severe acute malnutrition.

Mohammad Abuselmia, Director ‌of Shifa Medical Complex, stated ⁤that 320,000 children ‌in the ‌gaza Strip are affected ⁤by malnutrition, among whom 17,000 suffer from severe‍ acute malnutrition.

He emphasized that hospitals can only temporarily ‌sustain these children’s lives⁤ through medical solution‍ injections but stressed that this does not constitute a ⁢complete treatment.

Highlighting global standards,he asserted⁣ that Gaza is facing a genuine famine and called on the ‌United Nations to declare the area a famine-stricken disaster zone.

There ‌is no drinking water in Gaza City and cases of gastrointestinal diseases have increased. Additionally, 55,000 pregnant women suffer from malnutrition. We cannot provide care for cardiac patients here.”

The director ⁢also noted: “International organizations ⁣have medical shipments⁢ ready⁤ but cannot ⁢deliver them into Gaza as the occupiers do not permit ⁢entry.”
