Fidan Travels to Qatar for Talks on Syria and Gaza

According to​ the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Anadolu Agency, Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan ‍is scheduled to embark on a two-day trip⁤ to Qatar.

The minister will be in ​Doha on August 13 and 14 (today and tomorrow), ⁤the report states.

Sources familiar with the matter say Fidan’s meetings in Qatar are expected to focus on the growing strategic partnership between Ankara and Doha across all sectors. They⁣ will explore new‌ avenues for ​cooperation moving forward.

The⁤ discussions are also anticipated ⁢to lay the groundwork for the eleventh session of⁢ the ‌Supreme Strategic​ Committee‌ between the two countries,⁢ which is planned later this year under the leadership⁣ of Turkish President ​Recep⁤ Tayyip Erdoğan ​and Qatari⁢ Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in Doha.

Anadolu reports ​that during⁢ these talks, consultations will take⁢ place on regional issues, especially ​concerning⁤ Gaza and Syria.
