Shooting in Virginia, USA Injures Deputy Sheriffs
At least three police officers were injured in a shooting during the execution of a warrant in Virginia, USA.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and RT, local officials report that three deputy sheriffs in Virginia were shot while attempting to serve warrants against an individual.
The incident occured in southern Virginia. The three injured officers were taken to the hospital and are currently in stable condition.
The Associated Press reported that after hours of confrontation, the suspect was finally taken into police custody.
michael Taylor, sheriff of Pittsylvania County, stated that the warrants had been issued on charges including firearm threats and trespassing without property owner permission against the suspect.
