Zangzur Is Part of a Larger Scheme Against Iran

Shoayb Bahman stated at the session “Zangazur Corridor: Geopolitical Threats Against Iran and Perspectives of Various Actors” that major regional projects⁤ are taking shape around Iran, with ⁢the Zangazur Corridor being a part of them.

webangah News Agency, International Desk:‌ Shoayb ⁣Bahman,‌ head of the Institute for Contemporary world Studies, said ‌during the⁢ “Zangazur Corridor: geopolitical‌ Threats⁢ Against Iran and Perspectives of Various Actors” session ‍that⁣ significant regional projects are developing around Iran, with the Zangazur Corridor included among them.

He added that for years there has been talk in eastern ⁤Iran about designing and constructing a corridor called‌ “Lapis Lazuli.” This corridor will connect Pakistan and Afghanistan to Turkmenistan. Another corridor known as “IMEC”⁢ is also under discussion in southern Iran; ⁢it begins⁢ in India, extends to ‍countries along the southern Persian Gulf, and reaches occupied territories and also the Mediterranean and Europe.

According to Bahman, these four corridors-situated north, south, east, and west-will effectively isolate ⁢Iran geographically. They will bypass Iranian territory entirely by routing all major⁤ international transit routes and trade corridors around it, rendering Iran invisible in these ‌crucial networks.
