Egyptian Foreign Minister Issues Statement on Gaza

Egypt’s Foreign Minister emphasizes the ⁢need for a ceasefire in ⁢Gaza and⁤ guarantees for humanitarian aid access to the region.

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr news Agency and Al-Youm Al-Sabea, Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty has reiterated the urgent need to reach⁢ a ceasefire agreement.He stressed the importance of protecting ‍Palestinian lives and ensuring that humanitarian aid can enter Gaza.

He called for an accelerated response to this urgent humanitarian​ crisis, urging pressure on the‌ Israeli regime to grant safe and sustained access for‍ humanitarian assistance and to reopen all crossings connected to Gaza.

Furthermore, Abdelatty ⁤highlighted the necessity of ⁢proposing political horizons ​toward achieving​ a just and lasting solution to the Palestinian issue. This solution should⁢ guarantee Palestinians their legitimate rights, especially⁢ their right to self-determination and establishing an independent Palestinian state based on June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister affirmed that⁤ Egypt ⁢is recognized‌ as a key pillar of security and stability in both the middle East and Africa.
