Israeli Regime Attacks Hungry Gaza Residents
According too the English section of webangah News Agency, citing reports from Al Jazeera, Palestinian sources reported that the Israeli regime attacked people waiting for aid in the al-Shakoush area in western Rafah, southern Gaza.
The sources also confirmed casualties and injuries resulting from an Israeli airstrike on the Kusseifeem area in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza.
Simultaneously occurring, Ismail Al-thawabteh, head of the government data office in Gaza, warned about the critical situation in southern Gaza Strip. He said field assessments indicate that about 890,000 people currently reside in Khan Yunis governorate and Muwassi area of Rafah-most of whom are forcibly displaced from other parts of Gaza.
Al-Thawabteh described these displaced individuals living under extremely harsh and inhumane conditions.Severe food shortages, lack of clean drinking water, and near-total absence of health services and shelter have pushed their lives to the brink of disaster. Overcrowding inside homes and temporary shelters has sharply increased risks of disease outbreaks and epidemics.
He called the current situation an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe requiring immediate international intervention to halt attacks and provide urgent relief aid.
Al-Thawabteh also reported brutal organized assaults by Israeli forces on al-Amal neighborhood west of Khan Yunis. The occupying forces have demolished residential buildings as part of collective punishment policies targeting civilians while destroying urban infrastructure.
These actions have displaced more families and deepened the humanitarian crisis further. He stressed that these attacks lack any genuine military justification and constitute blatant violations of international humanitarian law as well as war crimes against civilians.
