US National Guard Deploys Additional Troops to Washington
A White House official revealed that additional National Guard troops will be deployed to Washington, D.C.
According to the English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency, The New York Times quoted a White House official reporting that more National Guard forces will be called to the U.S. capital.
This announcement comes three days after President Donald Trump admitted that Washington, D.C. faces higher crime rates and dangers than many third-world capitals known for violence.
The deployment of additional National Guard troops follows their initial arrival on August 12, ordered by the president due to an alarmingly high crime rate in Washington, D.C.
On August 11, Trump directed that 800 National Guard personnel be stationed in the capital because of the significant increase in crime.
