Washington: Moscow Made Immediate Concessions at Alaska Meeting
The US President’s Special Envoy to West Asia claimed that during the crucial Washington-Moscow meeting in Alaska, Russia offered concessions “almost promptly.”
According to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Anadolu and Mehr News Agency,Steve Whitcraft,former US President Donald Trump’s Special Envoy to West Asia,asserted that during Friday’s meeting between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska,Moscow “almost immediately” made concessions.
Whitcraft did not specify the details of these concessions but said, “In the first meeting in Alaska, the Russians almost immediately backed down and offered concessions. Part of those concessions was to help us determine whether Russia was prepared for greater versatility.”
He added that talks in Anchorage focused on reaching a enduring peace agreement rather than a temporary ceasefire.
