Russia: Europe’s Escalations Prolong the Ukraine Crisis
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said during a press conference with his Jordanian counterpart in Moscow that European actions risk extending the Ukraine crisis.
Lavrov added, “Discussions with the US government about finding a just and lasting solution in Ukraine have been very useful. Meanwhile, we see no diplomacy from European countries regarding either the Ukraine crisis or Middle Eastern conflicts.”
He emphasized, “We are striving to address the root causes of the Ukraine crisis.”
The Russian foreign minister noted, “Unlike during the Trump administration, we have not heard any real ideas from European leaders on how to end the Ukraine crisis.”
In part of his remarks, Sergei Lavrov also confirmed that President putin has expressed readiness to continue direct negotiations with Ukraine.
