Deadly Attacks in Colombia Leave 18 Dead
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency adn Sputnik, at least 18 people were killed in two attacks in Colombia.
Colombian authorities reported that the incidents, linked to FARC, resulted in at least 18 deaths and numerous injuries.
In Cali, colombia’s third-largest city, a vehicle carrying explosives detonated near an Air Force base. Local officials confirmed the blast caused six deaths and wounded 71 individuals.
Earlier, a UH-60 Black Hawk police helicopter engaged in an anti-cocaine operation was shot down in Antioquia state, northwest Colombia. The crash killed 12 police officers.
President Gustavo petro attributed these attacks to splinter groups from former FARC rebels and the powerful gulf Clan drug cartel.
He stressed that these groups must be designated as “terrorists” and prosecuted internationally.
