Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit in China Set for June 2024
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Russia Al-Youm, China’s Ministry of foreign Affairs confirmed that the SCO summit will take place on August 31 and September 1, 2025, in Tianjin, chaired by Chinese President Xi Jinping.
A spokesperson for China’s Foreign ministry reiterated that the 2025 SCO summit is scheduled for these dates in Tianjin.
President Xi Jinping will preside over this year’s meeting and deliver the keynote address.
This year, an additional session titled “shanghai Plus” will be held with participation from several other countries.
The islamic Republic of Iran has been an official member of the SCO since 2021. Other permanent members include China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Belarus.
Observer countries such as Mongolia also participate. dialog partners include Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt,kuwait,Maldive s , Myanmar,UAE,and Bahrain .
