North Korean Leader Awards Honor to Troops Fighting in Ukraine
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Sputnik via Mehr News Agency, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un presented state medals to members of his army who participated in the liberation of Russia’s Kursk province.
The central News Agency of Korea reported that Kim held a ceremony at the Workers’ Party headquarters. During this event, commanders and fighters from the Korean People’s Army involved in liberating kursk received government medals.
The ceremony opened with the national anthem of the Democratic People’s republic of Korea, followed by a moment of silence honoring those who lost their lives. Senior leaders from the Workers’ party and military, as well as families of fallen soldiers, attended the event.
Kim personally presented medals titled “Hero of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea” and praised their sacrifice and dedication.
