Guterres: No Words Can Describe Gaza’s Horrifying Situation

The UN Secretary-General expressed deep regret ⁢over the horrific situation in Gaza, stating there are no words ​to describe the​ conditions.

According to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr ‍News agency and Al Jazeera Qatar,United Nations Secretary-General antonio Guterres delivered a stern statement on gaza’s situation:⁢ “It seems words have run out to describe Gaza’s hell,and now a new term-‘famine’-has been added.”

Guterres emphasized that under international law, Israel, as⁣ an occupying power, has clear and specific obligations, including ensuring access for Gazans to​ food and medical ⁣supplies.

He added: “Famine⁤ in Gaza is not a mystery; it is a man-made disaster and a moral indictment reflecting humanity’s failure.”

The Secretary-General warned that ‌this famine goes beyond just food shortages; it represents⁣ the intentional collapse of vital systems necessary for human survival.

He continued: “The people of ⁢Gaza are grappling with⁤ hunger. Children are dying. Those‌ responsible for‌ taking action have failed in their duties.”

Guterres cautioned: “We cannot allow this situation in Gaza to continue without consequences.”

He also called for‌ an immediate ceasefire, the swift release of all Israeli detainees, and full unrestricted access for ​humanitarian aid.
