U.S. Ambassador Furious Over Official Declaration of Famine in Gaza
according to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency and Sputnik,Mike Huckabee,the U.S. Ambassador to Tel Aviv, claimed on social media that international media are ignoring the real story behind the famine in Gaza.
Without mentioning images of Palestinian children whose bones are visible due to severe hunger, he added that Israeli captives are starving while Hamas fighters are not. He alleged that although the United Nations has declared a famine, 92 percent of food aid is being stolen by Hamas within the Strip.
Huckabee further accused the United Nations of corruption and incompetence. This statement comes while the UN has so far only issued statements and expressed concern without taking concrete action regarding Gaza.
It is worth noting that yesterday, for the first time in contemporary West Asian history, an international body supported by the UN-the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC)-officially declared a famine in Gaza.
