Lavrov: West Aims to Deadlock War Halt Negotiations
According to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Nashra,Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov accused western countries of attempting to derail negotiations aimed at ending the war in Ukraine.
He stated that Western nations are making excuses to bring the talks to a standstill.
Lavrov condemned what he called the “stubborn stance” of ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who imposes conditions and demands an immediate meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin at any cost. He saeid all they do is create pretexts to block progress in negotiations.
Lavrov added that Ukrainian officials seek to shut down a process initiated by Presidents Putin and Trump that had produced very positive results, expressing hope these efforts will be neutralized.
The Russian foreign minister also announced there are currently no plans for a meeting between Zelensky and Putin.
