UN Envoy: John Bolton May Face Trial

U.S. Vice ‍President comments on John Bolton’s case adn the possibility of ⁣his prosecution.

The U.S. Vice President, J.D. Vance, stated that if the charges against former national security⁤ advisor John Bolton ‍are proven,‌ he could face trial.

He added that the Federal Bureau of investigation intends to review Bolton’s ⁣case‍ thoroughly. “If there​ is no crime, we will not pursue criminal charges,” Vance‍ said. “Though, ‍if a crime has​ been committed, Bolton will receive what he deserves in court.”

Vance emphasized that Bolton‍ is not in⁢ custody and will not be detained unless formal criminal charges are filed against him.

A ⁣few days ago,​ the FBI announced a raid on ⁣john Bolton’s‌ residence in the ⁢Washington ​suburb where ⁢he lives during Donald Trump’s first presidential‌ term as ‍national security advisor.

The FBI director confirmed‍ the raid on Bolton’s home near​ Washington‍ and stressed that “no one is above the law.”

The New york Post was the first outlet⁣ to report this operation. ‌According to their report, at 7 a.m., FBI agents began searching Bolton’s⁣ Bethesda home under orders from Director ⁣Christopher Wray as part of ‍an ongoing investigation.

The ⁢Associated Press quoted informed sources saying that the FBI conducted this ⁢search within an‍ investigation ⁢into how John Bolton handled classified documents.

Bolton served as U.S. Ambassador to the United nations and White House National Security Advisor during Trump’s⁣ first term but has since become a vocal critic of the ​Republican president,accusing him of poor leadership.
