Julani: Security Agreement Between Syria and Israel Imminent
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Masri Al-Youm, Abu Muhammad al-Joulani, the leader of the terrorist factions controlling syria, confirmed on Sunday during a reception for a media delegation in Damascus that advanced negotiations over a security agreement between Israel and Syria are underway.
Joulani claimed he would have no hesitation in endorsing any agreement beneficial to Syria, emphasizing that any accord with Israel would be publicly announced.
He added that any peace deal with Israel would be based on the 1974 ceasefire line, which preserves Syrian sovereignty and paves the way for confidence-building measures and possibly achieving a peace agreement.
Israeli media also reported that israel and Syria are on the verge of signing a security pact mediated by the United States and Gulf countries, expecting to finalize it by late September.
An Israeli military correspondent stated that despite ongoing strategic risks, this agreement represents a significant security prospect for Israel while offering a pathway toward stability after years of conflict in Syria.
