Fidan: Securing a Permanent Ceasefire Is the Priority in Gaza
Turkey’s Foreign minister said at the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Foreign Ministers’ meeting in Jeddah that the priority in Gaza is to ensure a permanent ceasefire and the delivery of humanitarian aid to the region.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency from Al Jazeera, Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated at the OIC foreign ministers’ meeting in Jeddah that Gaza belongs to the Palestinians and their survival on their land must be guaranteed.
He emphasized that the priority in Gaza is securing a lasting ceasefire and allowing humanitarian assistance into the area.
The Turkish foreign minister expressed support for peace efforts led by Qatar and Egypt.
He added that provocative actions by Israeli extremists, including ministers within Netanyahu’s cabinet targeting Al-Aqsa Mosque, must be stopped.
