Gaza Health Ministry: Attack on Nasser Hospital Constitutes Crime Against Humanity

The Gaza Ministry of Health strongly condemned⁢ the Israeli regime’s ‌direct attack on the ⁢Nasser ‍Medical Complex in Khan Yunis, describing it as a continuation of systematic⁣ genocide and crimes ⁢against ​humanity, according ⁣to ‌ webangah News Agency, ⁤citing mehr News Agency and Al-mayadeen.

The statement​ said,”This horrific crime carried out this ‌morning against the‍ only operational hospital in southern Gaza ‌is part of a purposeful plan to destroy the healthcare system ​and represents organized genocide. It sends a humiliating message⁢ against ⁤all human ‌values and global⁣ justice.”

The ‍ministry called on the ​international community and relevant ​organizations for immediate action to protect ⁢what remains of health services in Gaza.

It added, ⁣”The international community’s silence ⁤and failure to take concrete measures to stop thes occupier’s crimes⁤ constitute complicity in continuing these tragedies.”

Initial reports indicate‌ that at least 20 healthcare ‍workers, patients, journalists, ⁢and rescue personnel were killed in the attack.Dozens more were injured. Besides human ⁢casualties,the​ strike forced closure of ⁢surgical wards,depriving patients‌ and wounded individuals of medical⁢ care.

A source at Nasser Medical Complex ⁢confirmed that Palestinian‌ journalist Ahmed Abu Aziz was ⁤martyred during an Israeli strike targeting the‌ hospital’s emergency building and meeting area.
