Ayn al-Asad Without U.S. Troops; Turning to Desert Routes

An Iraqi source in Al Anbar province ⁣reported the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Ayn al-Asad base and their shift to desert routes west of the ⁣base.

According to the English section of webangah News‌ Agency, citing⁢ Mehr News​ Agency and ‌Alsumaria News, an Iraqi source in Al Anbar province stated that ⁣U.S. ‌forces are gradually leaving‌ Ayn al-Asad ‌base in western Iraq, following ‍agreements signed with Iraqi authorities.

The source⁣ added⁤ that in recent days, there has been a rapid withdrawal of coalition forces from Ayn al-Asad.Troops have⁣ been departing ‌in large groups via the Al-Waleed ⁣border crossing shared with ⁤Syria.

Iraqi ​sources‌ report that American troops ⁣are using desert routes west of the base for‌ their movements within iraq.

Under the‌ signed agreement between Baghdad and⁢ Washington, international coalition forces‍ are scheduled to leave Iraq by september​ this year, with a second phase of withdrawals concluding by December next​ year.
