Spain Backs Egypt’s Mediation to Establish Gaza Ceasefire
According to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Al Jazeera and Mehr News Agency,Spain’s Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares said on tuesday that he discussed the unbearable violence in Gaza and the West Bank with his Egyptian counterpart,as well as ways to provide aid to Sudan.
The Spanish Foreign Minister added, “we support Egypt’s mediation to establish a ceasefire in Gaza and are cooperating to deliver extensive and immediate humanitarian assistance there.”
Earlier, Majid Al Ansari, spokesperson for Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign affairs, stated: “We remain committed to our efforts until the end of the war and welcome any action within this framework. Israel refuses to respond to the proposals on the table. We call on the international community to pressure Israel. It does not matter whether negotiations take place in Egypt or Qatar. The ball is now in israel’s court; though, it truly seems unwilling to reach an agreement. Israel must respond to the current proposal but appears reluctant.”
