Cairo’s Anger at Tel Aviv: The Secret Behind Netanyahu’s Delay in Declaring Gaza Ceasefire

Israeli regimeS television reports on Egyptian officials’ anger over⁤ Netanyahu ‍cabinet’s handling of⁣ Gaza ceasefire proposal.

According to the English ⁢section of webangah‍ News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Ma’an, Israel’s Channel 12 reported that egyptian officials told their Israeli counterparts that Hamas had shown significant versatility in its recent response to the ceasefire proposal, but Netanyahu’s cabinet has yet‌ to provide any clear reply.

The officials added that Netanyahu’s stance⁢ was unacceptable. They said a ceasefire could⁣ be reached and at least ten Israeli‍ prisoners could be freed, but Tel Aviv is dismissing this opportunity too easily.

Yesterday,an Egyptian delegation entered the occupied territories to discuss the matter. Qatar also blamed the Israeli regime, stating that Tel Aviv refuses to respond to the ceasefire offer.⁤ mediators ⁢suggested​ that Tel Aviv ⁤might ⁤be delaying​ progress so former U.S. ⁢President Donald ​Trump can visit in September‍ and announce an agreement there,aiming ‌to secure another political achievement for himself.
