According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, the Al-Akhbar newspaper reported that after witnessing the Lebanese government’s negligence and political maneuvering delaying reconstruction efforts, Hezbollah decided to launch rebuilding operations using private funding through the Waad Company.
it is expected that Hezbollah, through its affiliated institutions such as Jihad al-Binaa and Waad, will initiate reconstruction work in Beirut’s southern suburbs and other war-affected areas-excluding border villages-with a budget exceeding one billion dollars in the first phase. Two additional phases are planned afterward, each costing another billion dollars.
This growth comes over eight months after the end of hostilities and follows Hezbollah financing repairs for approximately 402,000 housing units at a cost exceeding 1.1 billion dollars. The group has also taken on logistical and operational support for debris removal from 90 percent of destroyed buildings outside border regions.
