Western Demonstrations Supporting Gaza Continue
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Masirah, thousands of Moroccans demonstrated and marched in Tangier and Marrakech to express their solidarity with the peopel of Gaza.
The protesters demanded an immediate halt to the aggression against Gaza and called for an end to the Israeli regime’s blockade of the enclave.
In recent weeks, Moroccan cities have frequently witnessed protests condemning Israeli crimes in Gaza.
Even though Morocco signed a normalization agreement with Israel in December 2020 under U.S. mediation, public opposition remains strong. As the start of Israel’s assault on gaza, Moroccans have organized anti-Israel demonstrations and marches demanding a halt to normalization efforts with Tel Aviv.
The demonstrators also urged an end to what they described as Israel’s genocidal policies in Gaza, including lifting the blockade and stopping practices that lead to widespread starvation among its residents.
