Another Israeli Soldier Commits Suicide

An Israeli outlet, Hadashot, stated that a reserve soldier from the Israeli army took his own life by shooting himself in Kfar Saba.
This marks the 23rd suicide case among Israeli soldiers as the beginning of this year.
earlier reports from Israeli media indicated that 22 soldiers and security service personnel had committed suicide since early 2023.
Internal investigations by the Israeli army reveal that severe psychological pressure, repeated exhaustion, and shocks experienced during field confrontations in Gaza play a notable role in contributing to mental distress among these soldiers.
The findings also highlight how the protracted war in Gaza and lack of clear objectives for its continuation have weakened soldiers’ morale and increased suicide rates within their ranks.
According to reports from Israeli media, since the war against Gaza began on October 7, 2023, at least 44 occupying soldiers have died by suicide due to war-related psychological symptoms.
