Venezuela Holds Major Military Exercise Amid U.S. Threats
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, news media have announced that Venezuela is conducting a major military exercise amid escalating threats from the United States.
The Associated Press reported that Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro personally oversaw the extensive drill named “Special Revolutionary Operation,” which featured parades, firearms training, and simulated attacks on targets.
Notably, on August 8, U.S. Attorney General Pamela Bondi announced a $50 million reward for details leading to Maduro’s capture.
On August 19, White house press secretary Caroline Lewitt stated that former President Donald Trump is prepared to use “all elements of American power” to combat drug trafficking and did not rule out potential military action in Venezuela.
These developments come as three U.S. warships have been deployed off Venezuela’s coast, expected to carry 4,000 Marines.In Caracas,these moves are described as provocative attempts aimed at destabilizing the region.
