Netanyahu May Cancel Argentina Trip Over Arrest Fears
Media reports indicate a criminal lawsuit has been filed against Netanyahu in Argentina, raising the possibility that his trip too the country may be canceled.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Mayadeen, the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that a criminal complaint has been lodged against Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s Prime Minister, in Argentina.
The complaint’s authors are demanding Netanyahu’s arrest on charges of war crimes.
Yedioth Ahronoth also noted reports suggesting that netanyahu’s planned visit to Buenos Aires may be canceled.
The trip was scheduled for next month. Previously, Tel Aviv had to quietly withdraw several Israeli soldiers traveling as tourists abroad to avoid their potential arrest in various countries.
