At Least 11 Killed in Kashmir Landslide
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Anadolu via Mehr News Agency, severe showers and landslides in the Riasi and Ramban districts of Indian-administered Kashmir have claimed at least 11 lives.
Officials report that two individuals remain missing following the disaster. A police official stated that seven members of a single family died in a village within the riasi district.
Authorities say rescue operations are ongoing to locate those still unaccounted for.
The recent weeks of intense rainfall have caused widespread destruction across the region, with the death toll surpassing 80 and more than 30 peopel still missing.
Dozens of buildings have been damaged, main roads submerged, and numerous low-lying areas devastated by flooding.
