Washington Embassy Responds to Reports of American Withdrawal from Baghdad

The U.S. Embassy in Iraq responded ⁤to reports about the withdrawal of American​ forces from Baghdad.

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency ⁢and Al-Maloumeh, the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad denied reports ⁢claiming a complete withdrawal of its troops from Iraq’s capital today.

A spokesperson for the‍ U.S. Embassy in Baghdad stated ⁤that these reports are inaccurate.

He added‍ that this move represents a ⁢routine⁣ adjustment within the United States’ coalition mission in ‍iraq.

Yesterday, it was reported that American forces would begin withdrawing‍ from Baghdad’s Green Zone and the city’s international airport starting Saturday, as part of a bilateral agreement with Iraq.

Informed sources also confirmed⁢ that U.S. forces will leave ⁣the ⁢heavily secured‍ Green Zone, which houses Western diplomatic‍ missions and official⁤ headquarters.
