Yemen Appoints Acting Prime Minister Following Al-Rahwi’s Assassination

Following teh assassination of Yemen’s ‌Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb al-Rahawi in a recent Israeli attack, ​the Chairman of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council appointed Mohammed Muftah as the acting Prime Minister.

The English section of ‌ webangah ‌News Agency,⁤ citing​ Al-Masirah via Mehr News Agency, reported that Mahdi al-Mashat, chairman of‍ Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, issued a decree appointing a successor to the late Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb al-Rahawi in Sanaa.

Mohammed Ahmed Muftah, First Deputy Prime Minister, was named acting Prime Minister.

A few moments ago, Yemen’s⁢ presidency released a⁤ statement confirming that Ahmed Ghaleb ​al-Rahawi was killed in last Thursday’s Israeli ⁤attack.
