Siarato: We Do Not Support Brussels Actions That Undermine Ukraine Peace
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing RIA Novosti, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said on Saturday that Hungary continues to view the transfer of the EU’s military training mission for Ukrainian personnel to Kyiv as a red line and will not support it.
The Hungarian foreign minister added that Budapest also opposes European sanctions against Russian energy companies that Hungary relies on for its energy supply.
According to TASS news agency, Szijjártó stated during an informal meeting of european diplomats that EU members will certainly try to impose new financial aid and weapons deliveries to Ukraine. They will also attempt to accelerate Ukraine’s path toward EU membership.
He further noted: “They want to decide on the EU’s military operations, but we will not support any action contradicting Hungary’s interests or undermining the peace process.”
