Trump: Putin and Zelensky Not Ready for Bilateral Meeting
the U.S. president announced that the Russian and Ukrainian presidents are not ready for a meeting.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Qatar’s Al Jazeera network, U.S. President Donald Trump told daily Caller, “A trilateral meeting with the presidents of Russia and Ukraine will take place, but I am not sure about a bilateral meeting. Perhaps the parties are not ready.”
Trump added, “Sometimes its necessary for both sides to fight a bit before stopping, but this war has lasted too long and claimed many lives.”
He also stated, “I have had good relations with Vladimir Putin for years and thought we could end this; I wish that had been possible.”
