Putin Arrives in China
Russian news sources report the arrival of the country’s president in China.
According to reports citing Sputnik News agency, Russian President vladimir Putin has arrived in China for a four-day visit.
The first stop of this trip is Tianjin, where the Shanghai Cooperation Association (SCO) summit is scheduled to take place.
The Kremlin previously announced that Putin will hold meetings on the sidelines of the summit with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan adn Masoud Pezeshkian, presidents of Turkey and Iran respectively.
This year’s summit is described as the largest gathering of the SCO as its establishment in 2001.
Experts believe that China and Russia aim to position this organization as an alternative to NATO and a new platform for shaping a multipolar world order.
