Clash Erupts Between U.S. Intelligence and Spy Officials
NBC reports rising tensions between the U.S. Director of National Intelligence and the head of the country’s intelligence agency.
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing mehr News Agency via Russia today, reported that NBC has revealed increasing tensions between Avril Haines, Director of National Intelligence, and John Ratcliffe, director of the U.S. intelligence service.
According to the report, Haines released a list naming 37 current and former intelligence officers barred from accessing classified documents.
She stated that thes individuals had used intelligence data for political purposes and had leaked sensitive information. Among those named was a senior U.S. intelligence official specializing in Russia-related matters.
This move by Haines has sparked conflict and strained relations with Ratcliffe.
