Trump: No More Aid to Kyiv; We Will Sell Weapons to NATO Instead
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and TASS, U.S. President Donald Trump reiterated his previous statements that Washington will no longer fund the war in Ukraine.
Trump stated, “We were spending hundreds of billions of dollars on this war. Now we sell equipment to NATO. I forced them to increase their defense spending from two to five percent of their GDP.”
He added, “We sell equipment to NATO, not Ukraine.” On July 14, Trump said Washington has decided not to supply weapons and military equipment directly to Kyiv provided Europe covers the costs of such shipments. NATO will act as a coordinator in this process.
Moscow has repeatedly stressed that delivering weapons and training Ukrainian forces only prolongs the conflict without altering conditions on the battlefield.
