Deadly Crash in Namibia Kills 14, Including Police Officers and Prison Staff

A ‌crash on a road in Namibia has resulted in the deaths of 14 people, including employees of the country’s prison service.

According to webangah News Agency, citing Anadolu and Mehr news⁣ Agency, a collision between two vehicles near Windhoek, Namibia’s capital, led ⁣to the deaths of 14‍ individuals,‍ among them staff from the nation’s prison organizations.

Namibian President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah stated that the accident occurred on a highway‍ near Mariental, located‌ 167 miles from Windhoek. The collision involved a police ​van carrying six passengers and a prison service van ​with 13 onboard.

The crash claimed the⁤ lives of eleven Namibian prison employees,⁢ one police officer, and two ⁤civilians. Three others were seriously injured and transported to hospital for treatment.
