Deadly Crash in Namibia Kills 14, Including Police Officers and Prison Staff
A crash on a road in Namibia has resulted in the deaths of 14 people, including employees of the country’s prison service.
According to webangah News Agency, citing Anadolu and Mehr news Agency, a collision between two vehicles near Windhoek, Namibia’s capital, led to the deaths of 14 individuals, among them staff from the nation’s prison organizations.
Namibian President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah stated that the accident occurred on a highway near Mariental, located 167 miles from Windhoek. The collision involved a police van carrying six passengers and a prison service van with 13 onboard.
The crash claimed the lives of eleven Namibian prison employees, one police officer, and two civilians. Three others were seriously injured and transported to hospital for treatment.
