Wall Street: Witekoff Will Report Directly to Trump After Meeting with Putin
According to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing mehr News Agency and TASS,The Wall Street Journal reported that Steve Witkoff,Donald Trump’s special envoy to West Asia,delivers direct reports to Trump following meetings and discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin and other world leaders.
The newspaper stated that “Witkoff frequently enough calls Putin promptly after meeting with him and other leaders. However, summaries of these conversations are rarely shared promptly or comprehensively with the broader administration.”
White House spokesperson Caroline Lewitt told the Wall Street journal,”We expect Witkoff only to communicate his reports directly to Trump and the senior national security team.”
In a previous interview with Fox News, Witkoff said he spent about 24 to 25 hours meeting with Putin, his advisors, and close associates. The special envoy has traveled multiple times to Russia for talks with senior officials including Putin. Their discussions have focused extensively on potential solutions for resolving the Ukraine conflict.
