UN: Israel Must Stop Its Attacks on Yemen
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al mayadeen, reported that Hans Grundberg, the United Nations Special Envoy for Yemen, expressed verbal concern on Sunday regarding civilian deaths and injuries caused by recent attacks by Israeli forces on Yemen.
Without directly condemning the strikes, the UN envoy stated: ”We express our deep concern over the killing and wounding of civilians as a result of recent Israeli attacks. Yemen must not become a theater for a wider geopolitical conflict.”
Grundberg further added: “These attacks must be stopped.”
Earlier,Sheikh Naim Qassem,Secretary-General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah party,sent a condolence message to Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-houthi,leader of Yemen’s Ansarallah movement,following the death of the Yemeni prime minister and several government ministers.
The message described Israel’s aggression targeting the prime minister and ministers as indicative of the enemy’s failure and its brutal approach marked by unconditional disregard for humanity.
