Explosion Near Ship in the Red Sea
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Masirah, the British Maritime Trade Operations stated that they received details about an explosion and the fall of an unidentified object near a vessel in the red Sea.
The British Maritime Trade Operations added that the ship’s captain, located southwest of Yanbu, Saudi Arabia, reported a projectile landing close to his vessel followed by a powerful explosion.
The organization claims all crew members are safe, the ship is continuing its voyage, and authorities are investigating the incident.
No further details about this event have been released yet.
Yanbu port is approximately 800 kilometers from Yemen’s coast. Most vessels departing from this port are oil tankers.
