Islamic Jihad: Assassination of Yemeni Ministers Is a New War Crime
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, in a statement reported by webangah News Agency citing Palestine Today, condemned the assassination of Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahawi, prime Minister of Yemen’s Government of change and Reconstruction, along with several Yemeni ministers by the Israeli regime.
The movement extended its condolences to Mahdi Al-Mashat, Chairman of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council; Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, leader of the Ansarallah movement; and the people of Yemen. It described the killing as a treacherous act of aggression by Israel against yemen and a intentional commission of a new war crime.The statement emphasized that the martyrdom of Al-Rahawi and his companions confirms the blood alliance between the peoples of Palestine and Yemen in confronting the criminal Israeli regime.
It further called this blessed martyrdom a badge of honor, pride, and dignity for Yemen’s brave leaders and heroes who sacrifice their lives defending their nation’s honor, supporting Palestinians, and upholding Palestinian aspirations and sacred causes.
Following Israel’s recent attack on Sana’a,Yemen’s capital,foreign Minister Jamal Amer; Details Minister Hashim Sharaf al-Din; Energy Minister Ali Saif; Interior Minister Mohammed Hassan al-Madani; Justice Minister Mujahid Ahmed Abdullah; Transport Minister mohammed Ayash Qahim; and Sports Minister Mohammed al-Mawlid were all martyred.
Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahawi, Prime minister of Yemen’s Government of Change and Reconstruction, was also killed in this assault.
