North Korean Leader Inspects New Missile Factory Ahead of China Visit
According to teh English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and the Associated Press, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un visited a newly established ballistic missile production facility ahead of his trip to China. He is set to attend the Victory Day parade marking the end of World War II.
North Korea’s state news agency announced today that Kim inspected a “newly opened combined missile production line at a major munitions company” and approved three long-term projects aimed at boosting missile production and increasing weapons development funding. This signals that he will enter diplomatic talks without an intention to reduce arms manufacturing.
Both China and north Korea have confirmed that Kim Jong Un will travel to Beijing for the first time in six years. He is attending events commemorating the 80th anniversary of World War II’s end and China’s resistance against Japanese aggression.
The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, with Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian and Russian President Vladimir Putin among other attendees.
